I started my writing career as a staff journalist at the Irish Times in Dublin. During my years there, I wrote a weekly column, reviewed restaurants, interviewed a wide range of people (V.S. Naipaul, Margaret Atwood, Jamie Oliver, Nathalie Portman) and wrote in-depth profile pieces. As assistant editor, I was part of the team who developed the Irish Times Magazine, commissioning journalists, editing and sub-editing copy as well as writing weekly features.

After completing an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, I moved to Berlin (via London) where I continue to write, edit, and translate (German to English). In addition to the Irish Times and The Berliner Magazine (author profile), my writing has appeared in Image Magazine, The Dublin Review, The Evening Standard, Irish Theatre Magazine, Food Illustrated, High Life, Cara Magazine. Translation clients include Qantara, KULTURAUSTAUSCH and Labyrinth Kindermuseum Berlin.

I live in Kreuzberg with my partner and two sons.
